While it’s important for students to use spring break as a way to get ahead or catch up on schoolwork, it’s also important for students to take some time to relax or do something fun. Here are some things to do in DeKalb over break.
End-of-Winter Concert
The Kishwaukee Concert Band will be performing from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall, located in the NIU Music Building, located at 550 Lucinda Ave. The event is free to attend.
The next performance by the Kishwaukee Concert Band will be its Spring Concert at 3 p.m. May 7. All performances by the band are held in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall, located in the NIU Music Building.
Excel Tips and Tricks
This session is aimed towards adults and seniors no matter their skill level with Excel. The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the DeKalb Public Library, located at 309 Oak Street. It is free to attend the event and no registration is required.
309 Creative Open Lab
These lab hours allow attendees to use the tools and equipment in the lab. Hours for the lab are from 9 a.m. to noon March 18 at the DeKalb Public Library. Registration is not required and anyone can attend. This is a weekly event.
